About Me

I'm a 44 year old single mom. I have a 16 year old daughter. Born and raised in NY. I was a  teacher for 6 years, before changing careers. I graduated from Jane Addams Vocational high school in the Bronx. Before going away to college I worked for a year at Duncan Donuts. I was accepted into one of the best HBCU's by the name of Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. My major was Business Administration and Management. I graduated early with honors (GPA 3.10). I struggled in high school to get good grades, but I excelled beautifully in College. I developed tough skin being away from home for the first time ever, and maintaining good grades to stay on the dean's list, etc. As much as I wanted to throw in the towel, I DIDN'T QUIT!!

I always had a passion to be apart of the health and fitness industry. Working out really keeps me sane, focused, and feeling my absolute best. Not only is it good for us physically, but the benefits of a regular fitness regimen has been proven to have a profound effect on both mentality/emotional state. It started when I was a ROTC cadet in college. Learning how to be disciplined, focused, motivated, and most importantly CONSISTENT! Having a structured plan that details what your goals are then executing them. Living a healthy lifestyle and exercising not only helps alleviate most health issues, but it just makes you feel good about yourself, and gives the body much needed energy. And that's part of my "WHY".

Making the time to focus on me and doing what makes me happy. To me working out is a necessity and I want to help others feel the same way about taking care of themselves not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. I love helping people help themselves. Again I'm not perfect and I'm still learning all the pertinent things that goes with this fascinating profession. But you know what I'm here for all of it. I believe in myself 100% and with hard work, I will do whatever it takes to better myself in order to get to the next level. I'm currently studying for my nutrition certification and I can't wait to share the results with everyone over the next few months.
